I gladly put money to Waypoint Plus but as y'all described, it was impossible to know exactly how it was being used or what it meant for Waypoint's future and it was disappointing to know that regardless of how much money it earned, y'all saw none of it.
It is very rare that I get to see the impact that my monetary support has on folks. I support some Patreons and I shop local (small businesses and farmers markets), but this post has given me a little window into how directly such support _is_ meaningful. Abstractly, I've known it helps, but there's knowing and then there's knowing.
I've lost many jobs in my life so I'm very grateful that I could help you (and the others) bridge that gap and feel at ease during this period. Your writing means a lot to me so I'm glad I could pay it back, so to speak.
